Just got the first submission in hand for our first release! NYC's wonderful Malarkies will be releasing a two-song maxi-single in the next few months which will be our first release (WMD001). The fantastic Nick Butcher will be doing the packaging. Here's how Matt from The Malarkies describes it: "So, there are two songs: Swinging in the Twilight, which will be on the new record; this is a different arrangement/version. When I Paint My Masterpiece. Yep, a cover of the the Dylan/Band tune. Normally this is the kind of thing we sing together for fun, in the van or wherever; it's the way we've learned to harmonize. We love this recording, it comes across like early 70's Who backing the Louvin Bros." You see? This is the spirit of WMD - artists indulging themselves in what they love most, and putting out things they normally would keep to themselves, allowing us to see them at their unguarded best.
